VP- Treasury Governance & Reporting

Job Description:

Governance & Regulatory

·       Perform secretarial functions on external (UBF, EIBOR) and internal (BSMC, B-ALCO) banking committees.

·       Deputize Group Treasurer at external or internal meetings as required.

·       Be the lead contact with Business to explain the Policy documents and any limit infrastructure, which has an impact on their Business growth plans and/or financial performance.

·       Lead GT point of contact for all Global Regulators - should assist in all Regulatory submissions including new license requests or expansion of existing ones.

·       Oversight of various administrative and governance related issues within Group Treasury.

Reporting & Analysis

·       Develop Group Treasury analysis & presentations and collate underpinning MIS for various Group Treasury engagements, including peer bank analysis and analytics for senior management.

·       Work with business on annual budget and longer term strategic growth plans, contributing and enabling business to make informed decisions, which optimize the financial performance at the group level.

·       Analyse and monitor actual performance against budget and provide recommendations to optimize financial performance.

·       Work with business on new product design, pricing and terms & conditions as well as any change request to existing products. Lead the GT recommendation and provide financial impact analysis when required.

·       Support the Group Treasurer in developing various strategy papers including Group ALCO strategy paper, Funding Plan, including periodic updates as required.

Projects & Strategy

·       Project management for Group Treasury and represent Group Treasury on related bank-wide projects.

·       Help drive Treasury strategies and balance sheet initiatives across the Group.

·       Manage key stakeholders, coordination of communication and documentations with all relevant departments.

·       Provide periodic updates on issues and its resolution as required to the stakeholders.

·       Co-ordinate any initiatives that arise from Group ALCO with other departments

·       This could include establishing any related new reporting requirements e.g. ALM, LIBOR transition, etc.

·       Support the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement and sustainability of systems, processes and practices considering global standards, productivity improvement and cost reduction.

International

·       Oversight of International Treasury functions within the FAB group.

·       Ensure that International Treasury functions comply with Group framework, policies, and local regulatory requirements.

·       Monitor the reported metrics from international locations to ensure that any issues are escalated (if necessary) and captured at the Group level.

·       Co-ordinate with the International treasury teams to ensure that any issues identified are remediated on a timely basis.

·       Develop or enhance the monitoring metrics to ensure that FAB continues to apply the best market practices.

·       Prepare a monthly dashboard on the performance of the International Treasury activities.

·       Analyse the financial reports related to the International Treasury activities including performance of HQLA portfolio, NII sensitivity,

Job Requirements:

·       +15 Years’ experience in Banking.

·       In depth knowledge of best Governance Practices and the function of Bank Treasury departments.

·       Advanced Analytical and Presentation skills.

·       Ability to manage large project under tight deadlines.

·       Ability to manage expectations of senior management.
