Finance Controller

Job Description:

Controlling

  • Manage controllership function for entities in UAE and Saudi Arabia, ensuring compliance to both local and corporate financial policies and procedures.
  • Oversee month-end close activities, financial reporting, and compliance with local and US GAAP (Global) standards.
  • Lead and review Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) documentation for key controls, account reconciliations, and liaison with internal and external auditors.
  • Investigate and resolve financial report queries for Hyperion Reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Lead a team of three cross-functional professionals, including Finance, HR Administration, and Business Support
  • Upload, review, and monitor budget and forecast information in Hyperion Financial Management.
  • Manage trade finance requirements, including Letters of Credit (LCs) and Bank Guarantees.
  • Oversee cash flows, capital expenditure budgeting, and review processes, collaborating with Global Treasury Teams.
  • Serve as Company Director and authorized signatory in UAE and KSA, managing all relevant local compliances including Finance, HR, corporate secretarial and Taxation (Direct & Indirect).
  • Defend company interests, working alongside consultants and company representatives with Powers of Attorney

BU Finance Support

  • Manage cash flow for the Energy Business Unit in Middle East and Africa
  • Perform corporate financial analysis
  • Provide strategic financial support to the Business Unit, aligning financial objectives with overall business goals.
  • S/4 Hana Integration support for the Legal Entities in UAE and Saudi Arabia.
  • Conduct periodical reviews of the Delegation of Authority matrix and organize trainings for team members across EMEA

Additional Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards across assigned entities and the Energy Business Unit.
  • Business Council Support – Active engagement in setting Middle East Business Council, facilitating through MEA P&L for all BUs, Forecasts and Budget on quarterly basis.
  • Continuously improve financial processes and systems to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial performance and support business growth.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in financial management and control.

Job Requirements:

  • Graduation in commerce/business with certified accountant.
  • Experience of more than 8 years in a similar position.
  • Language Proficiency – English and Arabic, should have good proficiency in English and proficiency in Arabic will be an added advantage.
